Radiator is full and the fans didn't come on,got to 192 degrees.I think they usually come on at 168. Where is the fuse for the fans . What else could it be ?

Sounds fine to me. my 04 fans don't come on till 190 something. 220 or above is over heating.

My fans don't come on until 208 degrees and AF1 says

my fans on my 03 come on at 204 or so.

did have a switch failure years ago that kept them from coming on at all. easy fix.

Fan definitely shouldn't be coming on at 168F. Normal temp while cruising should be 168-176 depending on speed and ambient temp. As others have said, My fans come on at 202F.

My fans come on at 203F then turn off at 195F & go back on at 203. Yours sounds normal.

I think they get that way once they get to the camping spot.

We use kilogrammes now. Anyone who weighs in lbs uses stones, its so much easier. Fahrenheit is prehistoric.

I need to start using bigger stones!

Incidentally, when I arrived at Leeming Bar on the Yorkie Hoon my fans came on to me after just a couple of minutes.

:bump:

Speak for yourself says this slightly overweight Leyther (14stone 3lbs) and do you actually EVER say "its fooking hot today... it must be in the 30's"

Seems the Eurocrats are going to outlaw us brits from using the land area unit 'ACRE' and we will have to quote an area in 'hectares' (1 acre = 0.404 685 642 24 hectare)

seems to have cured its self today. Runs at 168 to 172 and the fans are functioninng as usual, Of course I did tap the heat sensing thing on the hockey puck looking object under the tank on the clutch side. All is well. Now start to work on the Ninja that won't stay running......

At one time Evolution Cyclesports sold a fan switch for the Tuono/RSV that engaged the fans earlier; 85oC to my recollection. AF1 did carry them, but they have been discontinued. I regret not picking one up as I would like the fans to engage at a lower temperature.
Anyone have one, or know somewhere that may have some old stock?

As long as mine isn't steaming, I'm not bothered.

As to the stone's,it better to say 16 rather than 220 :WTF:
