Well i have to give 80% of the credit to my dad lol!

It was my idea, but he 80% of the crucial work :)

We had to have the sprocket made as it had to match the 520 chain :)

He's thinking of creating a sort of business out of converting rs50's to rs125 engined rs50's lol, we worked it out it would cost 1000 if we supplied everything other than the rs50 donor bike itself, or 500 if you supplied everything and we carried out the labour :)

This thread is definitely worth reviving. I wonder if Adam has still got this, would be very interested to see some videos.

To be honest, I'd be very interested in paying someone for a conversion like this. Makes it even more tempting to know that it would be done by Adam and his Dad, which would be done right.

i wouldnt pay 1000 for a conversion on an rs50, i would sell the rs50 that i woned for about 800, then the 1000 i was going to pay for the conversion, get a mint as fuck rs125.

I've spoken to this guy. I have him on MSN. IIRC (long time ago) he was caught doing over 100mph on it. He was stopped by the police. He got away with it, I can't quite remember the reason why. He used to race RS125's, now he rides an Triumph 675.

I'm sure this bike broke or seized or something.

tidee as fuck bike :O

what is involved in putting a 125 engine in? did you just turn the wheel around with a 125 engine in the front, and obviously have various alternations, ie different sprocket

(is it possible to change a new style 50 to a 125?
