I had read somewhere that the fuel range (w/ full tank of gas) was in the 125 mile range and that the Mana has a 4.2 gallon tank.

If so--- this isn't really good mpg--- only slightly above 30 mgp?

Are these numbers and figures accurate? Can anyone report mpg from experience?

thanks,

1st tank, solo riding, taking it sort of easy, mixed use, mainly highway and hill country cruising, 48.6mpg US gallons.

2nd tank, two up, highway commuting, 46.2 I think. I am getting very good fuel mileage.

I have no doubt if I used my right wrist a little less 50 mpg is possible as long as you keep the speeds posted road legal.

I do 32 miles one way, my commute involves a mixture of motorway and heavy city trraffic. The tank holds 16 litres, and after 2 days commuting I have done 128 miles and used on average 10 litres of fuel. This is an average of the last 4 weeks. So economy is extremely good for me, high 50's mpg. I do travel quite relaxed though and dont go much faster that 70 - 75 on the motorway.

I'm at mid 30's so far. Calm freeway commute @ 70mph in touring mode; I'm hoping to get 50 because that's what I get on the 1000cc Capo. Other bikes got better mileage after 7-800 miles, and got quicker, so I'm hoping......

I didn't check the first tank, I didn't know what dealer did to the bike and how much fuel they put in. First refuel was at 168 miles.

Second refuel was at 162.3 miles with 3.22 gallons, that comes to 50.4 MPG, with 44.3 MPG on the on-board computer.

Third refiling at 153 miles, 2.93 gallons of fuel, 52.2 MPG, 46.1MPG on the computer and total time for fuel burn was 3:20 hours. That was mostly on the back roads.

On-board computer is definitively off by about 6 MPG. I will run a few more tanks to see how the number come out.

Is there a way to reprogram the base number for the on-board computer??

With nearly 2500 kms on the clock, all of which is around town and probably 50% in peak hour traffic, I am averaging 4.99 l/100 kms or 57 mpg. Keeping a strict log book of all expenses. I haven't been thrashing it but do give it a bit from time to time. I am very impressed.

When the wife rides the Mana it gets about 50 MPG. When I ride it - it gets about 30 :bangwall:

I posted this before...I once went 206 miles on a tank...I needed 208 miles to get to a gas station. Anyway, I generally get in the mid to upper 40's when commuting - the fuel light comes on at between 150-160 miles. I like my Mana.
