I thought you guys might like this, we had a customer bring in a darn near new Gilera 180 Runner yesterday....very cool in the flesh. These things have never been sold here in the USA so they are quite rare in the states. If you have the need for one just send me a PM and I can hook it up with another friend who has a few for sale actually....and Dragster 180's as well.

Here is the left side:

This is the coolest feature of all, a heater vent that can direct the hot air from behind the radiator on to your legs as you ride down the street! Way cool.

Hmm... I bet one of those vent setups could be retrofitted onto an SR! I wonder how warm the radiator gets though (and how long it takes it to warm up!) Maybe some experiments are in order.

That is a very cool scoot though. Is that a 180 four-stroke, or two-stroke?

peace,
sam

It's the Piaggio 180, same as the Italjet Dragster.

Sadly discontinued in Australia now, but I got mine S/H.

The vents are more a salesgimmick than the real thing.
As mentioned above, the radiator doesn't even get hot enough to produce any hot airflow.

They looks cool though.

Hey Micah, I rode one of the 180s yesterday up at A.S. pretty cool little scoot (er, big scoot). I was suprised how high riding the thing was. I didn't flog the hell out of it, but when the powerband kicked in, it was quite peppy. good fun
