Hello, I need to replace my radiator on my SR50 and I am looking on ebay for a used one. One seller says the part comes from a 55 plate bike. I have no idea what that means. I am hoping somebody in the forums might be able to tell me what that means. My bike is a 2001 model if that helps.

A '55' plate indicates that the vehicle was first registered 'halfway through 2005'

So, you have a 2001 bike. Is your registration something like MX01***?? The 01 there indicates 2001.

So my reg is MX07*** so this is an 07 plate, the bike was registered in 2007.

ok, that makes sense. would anyone know or think a an 05 radiator would fit on an 01? I ask because I have seen a few pictures and the 05 radiator I saw seemed to look an awful like my 01 radiator. My only concern would be size I guess. I am pretty sure the 05 radiator I am referring to is not a ditech (as my 01 is not a ditech) but I am worried that after 4 years the radiator might have gotten bigger than the 01 but maybe not. Anyone care to venture a guess or know where I could find that info out?
