I have a 2006 Sr50 R Factory, i want to have a 70cc cylinder kit put on it, as its the factory model its injection so would it better to convert it to carb and buy a 70's kit or spend the extra money on an injection cylinder??

LOL! No! Carbs are oldschool. Stick with the Malossi 70cc kit with ECU.

The cost of a 70 BBK is nothing to the pain it would be to convert to carb.
IMO

I can only find two 70's kits for injection models from were my stuff comes from and they cost a lot more than what it would to convert mine and have the 70's, its cheaper and i hear i will get better performance from a carb conversion and then buying my 70's

Who is telling you carbs are better? My Aerox, when stock, wouldn't go faster than 45mph. This stock SR will run 55+. You tell me which one is performing better...:)

Ok i am thinking about buying an injection 70's but i can only find two, do you know any reasonably priced kits for injection that will fit mine, i have the piaggio engine

It all depends on what you want out of it. Malossi is topps. Stay way away from polini. I had 2 on my Aerox that split or chipped to nothing. Crap IMO.

How fast do you want to go? If you need to do 85+Mph, get the TCR 80cc LC kit from scooter attack.

Surely not designed for injected scooters... Believe me, convert it to carb is really expensive and it doesn't give that much more power, but it will drink twice the fuel...

I'd imagine so. Most guys get about 65 on a flat with the Malossi.
You could do it yourself, but a dealer will probably charge about 3 hours of labor. Just make sure that the dealer does NOT remap the Malossi ECU. It is already mapped for the 70cc and if the dealer messes with it, it will be ruined.

If you have a Piaggio engine already the Malossi BBK will NOT COME with a Malossi ECU. It will come with a Malossi TC unit. I am finding out that even with a Morini engine you dont need a Malossi ECU. READ THE THREADS.

Hmm... It says on SIP that the Piaggio one comes with the ECu. Must be a bad translation.

Those who ARE useing a Malossi ECU; DONT let the dealer remap it. It will be shot.
