Fit and finish on that machine is second to none, I was given a bike to ride in Malibu canyon and came back thru Canon Rd, the bike gives confidence and you feel like you can ride forever, a true performance machine.:cigar:

Oh well, I already have more bikes in the garage than I can ride and take care of, but that doesn't stop me from lusting

They are an awesome machine and very popular too. They are like flies at a picnic. I must have seen 10 on the North Cali roads last weekend.

This could be Ducati's next success story!!

I'll take my 550 over the hyper any day of the week to blast a road like that ... :burnout:

I almost bought one, came down to the last minute and got the Multiostrada intead.
I just couldn't justify buying a heavier bike for the same purpose I bought the SXV.
So I got the same engine with more comfortable seating.
Gotta admit they got the looks right on the Hyper!

While I like the Hypermotard the whole plus of the SXV is that it is 270 lb's the Hypermotard is 390 lb's The extra HP is great but the 120 lb's defeating the point in my mind.

Let us not confuse apples with oranges. THe SXV is a single purpose kick ass weapon mostly designed for the track.

The Hyper moto is a heavyweight hybrid that brings motard style and some performance to a street genre.

For me, it is same world as my Tuono Factory--with different styling. In my twisted mind the Hypermoto would be the bike I would strap saddle bags on to ride across the country. THe Multistrada is nice but too tall from the get go.

I was thinking of the FZ1 until I saw the Hypermoto and sat on it. This bike is awesome for the longer haul, is mild in horsepower yet effective enough to take anything on in the twisities--and it is only the 2 valved motor that is close to bullet proof.

Again, Ducati hit the sweet spot everyone else is trying to find.

Well done Ducati!!!

but what is the range....fuel wise??

You'll need those strap-on bags to carry fuel!
About 70 miles max range. (The same as the SXV.)
Probably the biggest reason I didn't buy one.

Really--No shit?? That absolutely sucks. I had figured that it held at least 3.5 gallons of gas.

Otherwise the range in intolerable for a bike this size. :WTF::WTF::WTF:

It is way too big for SM tracks and has no fuel range.

Oh well. Too bad.
