all up its cost me 1000 pounds to send everything to aus, the 20 foot container was only 400 quid but the rest went in loading charges and fees . but remember i had a huge trailer 2 bikes and all the gear you need.
i just had another aprilia shipped to thailand from aus and in total it cost me just under 100 quid thats door to door .

hopefully it'll be that cheap if I find the right VDB overseas and bring it to the US.

Why do you have to import a bike, there should be plenty here in a month.

The last bike from England cost me $330.00, the bike before cost $1,100.00, it really is a crap shoot, I do alot of importing and exporting and the price is different everytime, it can cost more to ship parts than a complete bike, you also need to be bonded, that cost is around $300-$400.00, it`s best to do volume, my last container cost $20,000.00, but i had forty bikes shipped.:cigar:

I've been getting the runaround from Aprilia dealers. I figured I'll just buy one overseas and call it a day. I don't have such a hardon that i needed it yesterday but its nice to get good, concrete info. Which I havent gotten yet.
