Every time i look on the net for the race master cylinders the clutch seems a different colour to the brake

Any idea why or where to get the best price from

Hi,
The clutch master with red Brembo logo is made from billet (app. 200) in the UK), and the break master with a silver logo you've seen is a cast version (app. 180).

You can find billet master break cylinders too but they are quite expensive at app. 350-400.

I bought mine as a set from rnew1300 - on eBay UK and got a very good deal. You could try contacting him.

Cheers,

/F

Brian at twistedbikes.com is stellar. The reason why they look slightly difference colors sometimes (when comparing two of the billet units) is because the two cylinders may have been anodized in different batches hence the color may be off slightly.

If you look at the picture of mine you will notice that the brake is slightly off color compared to the clutch master. It is more pronounced in person, trust me. I had to send back the first billet clutch master because it was scratched. The replacement one you see in the picture below matches much closer to the brake than the original one did. It is hit and miss with matching this anodized finish I hear. All in all they look pretty good and the black custom Goodridge hydraulic lines look really good IMHO. Now, if my replacement Gilles riser would just come I can finish putting all my goodies on my bike. :burnout:
