I posted this on the "other Minarelli" site but we don't have much action there:
My freakin' spark plug wire keeps popping off when I hit a bump. The boot is hard plastic and there is a very small horseshoe-shaped wire in the tubular plug sleeve. I have played around with it but to no avail. Who can tell me what is involved in changing out the plug boot/wire (or fix it), and can anyone recommend a good replacement?

Thanks!

My best guess is that a stock replacement would work fine. 'performance' spark plug wires are usually a lot of hooey, and cost a lot of money. If you really want to fix it, you'd need to bend those little wires in that boot closer together so it forms a tighter grip on the plug, but I'm not sure how your boot is designed, and if you can get in there or not. I'd call your dealer up and have them get you a replacement, it shouldn't be very expensive, and will clear your problem right up.

peace,
sam

Sam, hello fellow Missourian,
Getting anything from the dealership where I bought it is a total joke.

I tried to re-pinch the small horseshoe-shaped wire, maybe I can give it another try.
