View Full Version : Vibrating glove compartment lid

My glove compartment lid is vibrating (prominently at 3000-4500rpm) and it gives out annoying (well) vibrating sound.
If during the 'vibration period', i press down the lid, the noise is gone. So it is due to existance of gap between lid and tank.

Just to share my silly solution:

Top right and left corner of the lid have a small depression which the shape match with the small circular bump on the 'tank'.

I just tape a couple of polystyrene 'balls' (smallest piece/bits) to the depression on the lid both left and right.

It works wonders!!

Anybody face a similar problem and have an alternative solution?

ps: use a black colored tape so it blend in with the lid (i use electrical duct tape, soft and conformed to the shape when closed).
