Finally discovered that the indicators are self cancelling, I'd read that they were before I bought the bike but hadn't really tested them up until now. The problem is they stay on for about 40 seconds which is way too long, so does anyone know if the delay can be adjusted?

This has been really confusing me.... until I found this old thread! Wasnt sure if it was from turning the handlebars or what... so its 40 seconds!?

Or 40seconds/500 yards or something....

Distance is involved, I'm sure.

In the words of the manual:-

"The automatic switch-off of direction indicators is required. If
vehicle is stopped, so with speed equal to zero, the direction
indicators carry on flashing indefinitely; if the vehicle is in
motion, the indicators switch-off automatically when one of
the following two conditions is true:
After a set time t = 40 sec.
After covering 500 m."

Cheers for that, stops me going mad trying to work out all the variables when I really should simply be concentrating on the road.

Glad this has been brought up again, I'm sure the angle of lean round the corner comes into it too as sometimes they will cancel straight away but its on slower but sharper turns (like turning down a side street). I know the peg is fitted with a lean angle sender but thought this was for a fuel cut off if the bike ends up on its side but I suppose it could do both functions.

I'm sure you can change the cancel rate through the menu system using the access code.
