All I can say is WOW!! Saw it today at the Atlanta Cycle World show, they're gauging interest for development, target price to be determined but they were surveying and were hoping in the 7-8K range. 290 pounds dry, something like 70+ hp, what a fun bike, I had a Honda 250 NSR registered for the road, weighed about 280 pounds and about 65 hp and it was an absolute blast. This would be a fun bike.

Also saw one of the NCR built race bikes they sell in the US (Ducshop in Atlanta sells them) Ducati 1000DS motor and around 300 pounds dry (track only)

Ya know I forgot that someone from AF1 started a thread on this bike

Here's the link to the thread with a pic of the showbike in the first post:

As you can see the mito looks very close to the 916 bike on a slightly smaller scale.

I looked at a mito 125 when I bought my nsr 250, in the end I went with the nsr, bit more power and was also registerd for the street, that was a fun bike.

I saw it at the NYC show - looked like a winner! I hope they sell enough of them to cause both riders and manufacturers take notice that there is a sizable demand for this capacity bike here in the US (ok, there probably isn't but we can dream...)! Such a sweet track day toy!

Cagiva USA has set up an email address so you can send them your feedback and what you think about the Mito 500.

mito500 at cagivausa dot com

I was at the Cycle World show in Cleveland and they were handing out the address to interested consumers. They also said that the bike as it stands would weigh around 290 pounds dry weight and make around 55-57 horse power, stock with the 510 SMR engine.

I've already sent them my email...

shitty shot but took it @ the NYC Motorcycle show, filled out a survey on the spot.

I want 1, I'm guessing it's a 2 cylinder 4 stroke?

I just sold my Mito. I wanted to do a motor swap, but thought I had too many irons in the fire already.

Nope, it's going to have an Indian built V-twin in it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... IIRC, the bikes will be built there too.

I just read a story in the latest Cycle News about a MV Agusta single. This might be it.

The normal version will be badged as a Cagiva. The premium one will be under the MV name and have an engine created in-house.

More details are supposed to come out via EICMA next week.
