Hi All, I have bought a RSVR Factory from California, I live in Victoria Canada. To get the RSV across the border it has to be a RSV Mille R Factory Not a RSVR Factory. I had a disagreement with RIV (Transport Canada) about this today. Is there a difference? Or are they the same bike?:WTF:

What is the year of the bike?

if it's 04 or newer it's the same bike

They are the same thing, if it has ohlins and oz wheels then it is a Factory.

I thought they stopped calling them Millies when the new shape came out in 04

So you can import a bike that doesn't exist but not a real one? canada sucks

Yeah, i they dropped the Mille and left it at RSVR when the 04+ came out (remember an article about it in Superbike Magazine a few years back), although some dealers i know still refer to them as Mille's...

In the US it was refered to as the APRILIA RSV 1000 R FACTORY. If Canadian RIV wants to call it a Mille, let them.

Mille or migliaio just means 1000 in italian.

i too have always gone with RSV Mille R Factory, 'they' didn't stop calling it the Mille did they?, i think 'we' did
the old Mille still had '1000' written on it despite the meaning of the word, so have the new ones, so why not still the Mille, i like the association myself, loved the old bike and wish i could find another in Fashy Yellow, with no miles:bump: love the new bike too, and to me it's a Mille all day long. I suppose i'll just have to get my spare set of body work painted exactly the same as the old bike, should look ok?
