How do, I have just bought an 01 RSV to go endurance racing on with this year. When I got it home I had trouble starting it so had a route around the bikes wiring, especially under the riders seat and found a wire snipped near the control unit and a couple of disconnected wires on the right hand side (found out later that these may be the test connectors). So decided to put them together so see if it made a difference. After much messing about and the wire attached it now started fine, but the right hand LCD displayed "Diagnosis 0".

Mmm, not good me thought, best we fix this.

Tried again with the wire snipped and the test connectors not made and the LCD was fine, and the other way round too. I was initially happy that the thing started but not about the display so, after more hours of messing about found that this wire should have been snipped to access the second map! (bike is also chipped with a aprilia titanium - matches the exhaust) Anyway re snipped this wire and the with the test connectors made, I was again back to the Diagnosis 0" code, arrghhh!

To finish off I now have the wire snipped, and the test connectors not made and the LCD works and the bike starts, what is going on. My questions is what am I missing out on with the test connectors not made, is it bad, surely having wires not attached is a bad thing?!

Help me!!
