Aprilia Dorsoduro Factory 2010 !!!!

First info on the new DD have been just released:

http://www.omnimoto.it/magazine/3732...o-factory-2010

Red and black frame, quite a bit of carbon fiber around, Sachs suspensions front and rear (at the back it was already Sachs, wasn't it?), Brembo calipers (serie oro) from what I can read and see.
Engine stays the same, with same data too.

Apparently will be priced +1000 Euros on top of the standard DD....
Not much details at this stage! Next week I'll be at the Milan Show, and as soon as I'll get more news ........

Thumbs up

Nice ! I'd buy it if I was buying again. A few observations:

- clutch cover shield.
- hasnt got that new splash shield above the radiator that has been discussed elsewhere.

Hmmmm - think I'm going to go and paint my muffler covers black !

Looks exactly like what I expected. A blinged up DD with many of the current optional extras fitted as standard. Wonder if theres any less obvious changes?

I bet the factory DD is a blast to ride but out of the 2 I prefer the look of the new shiver.

I rode the Shiver and DD back-to-back and really like the ergos of the DD. But I don't really understand the market for either bike, considering that it's priced so close to the Tuono. And now a factory version that seems to be a mostly cosmetic upgrade? I would have hoped for something that would have made the bike more competitive with the KTM 950 Supermoto (no longer sold in the US).

MSRP for the Tuono is A LOT different than selling prices. Based on MSRP, the Shiver/DD are a lot cheaper.

I do wonder if these pictures are of the actual Aprilia factory or are someones best attempt at making one. All the parts on this bike can be bought off the shelf today to make your bike look like this. We shall see when the Milan show pictures arrive. I am very interested in what a Factory Dorsoduro 2010 will look like.

You can wait EICMA if you prefer. I can tell you that (unfortunately) this is the Factory Dorsoduro 2010. The pictures have been released by Aprilia to the press here in Italy.
It is getting quite common to release a few official pictures just a few days before the show (Moto Guzzi has done it, Ducati has done it with the Hypermotard 796, MV Agusta ahs done it with the new 2010 range), also to avoid the photoshoppers to mess the bikes up.

OK I dont do red bikes so its not for me (stupid I know but all my worst accidents were on red bikes so dont do them anymore).
What I do like
Gel seat
Rear shock
Dorsoduro stickers on tail piece (originals are way to big so I took them off).

What I was suprised not to see.
Radial front brake master cylinder
More adjustments on the front forks
ABS as standard.

Front forks may have been upgraded but I cant see from the pictures.

Fair enough, if they are offical pictures. I like it, I may well trade in my Dorso for one. I even informed my girlfriend her chances of now getting a diamond ring next year are now zero
