Thanks, I was being lazy by asking and wondering if you had any other insight other then what was posted on the site?

Thanks

Best wishes to Clarkie, I feel my donation is not enough for all the help that I received by simply reading Clarkies (many many) posts in 2004-5 whilst I owned my RSVR. He was simply the AF1 sensei at that period and probably long before. THe main comment I remember by AF1 members was something like "Lets wait until Clarkie response.......he will know"

Two things are eveident by all the well wishes. Clarkie is a great person and the motorcycle community in general is very supportive.

As an Aussie who lived in the States for a time. Clarkie and his family will need all the $$$ they receive for medical costs. I just hope the racing authority that Clarkie was riding in has good insurance.

Cheers mate

The latest post from the family

Although I started this thread, I don't want to speak on behalf of the family. Aaron is very much alive and has survived his crash, but he has a tough recovery ahead of him. Here is the text from his wife's most recent post from getwellclarkie.com. BTW, cheers to Scott Jensen (Aaron's brother-in-law) for his Macau GP finish.

"Not much has changed with Aaron’s condition the past couple of days. Still
experiencing the typical TBI mood swings - sometimes he is confused and
angry, other times he extremely paranoid and delusional. But for the
majority he has been in a better mood and seems pretty lucid. His sister,
Megan, arrived last night and Aaron was very happy to see her.

Memory is a very interesting thing. Aaron can remember certain events and
names, but can’t figure out the linear connection between them. So,
everything ends up a bit scrambled.

As you know, Aaron broke his iliac bone and will require months of
physical therapy. The iliac bone surgery requires a three month non-weight
bearing recovery, then he can start the process of relearning how to walk.
Currently, physical therapy concentrates on arm and leg exercises while
sitting in the wheelchair or laying in bed.

Scott Macau update: The GP was held Saturday morning (aka: last night for
us in the states). He was running in 10th position when another rider
crashed into him. He didn’t go down, but ended up running off the track
and re-entering the race in 26th position. He worked his way back up to
finish in 16th position.

- Tedi"

Best wishes, again, to the entire Clark/Jensen family.

I can respect that!

To have some semblence of an appreciation for how far Clarkie has come and to understand what is going on you really need to go back to the first posts of Clarkies situation/condition/injuries to get it.

Chirs, could you create a seperate account, say for example: clarkie @ drippinwet.com and as monies come in, pay out of that? just a thought. Then it would all be in one place and you would only need to make donations periodically..

i got an email from his website, i think what they are going to do is setup when you send a donation, to forward your confirmation email to me and i can send the decals out, i wasnt sure what price to set for them, but maybe instead of setting a price, maybe just any donation would do maybe $5-$10.00 for a pair, i guess whatever someone can give helps out. with the economy what it is, its the giving part that counts not so the how much

Chris, that sounds like a good system. Good luck with the sales. I donated to the fund for AAron a while ago.

I appreciate it Chris, but let's get them out there for those that know aaron personally or haven't supported him yet

The donation I made was to help him get better, not that I get something from it. :-)
