Great space saving solution

Not sure if Harbor Freight has this kind of attachment, but I thought "what a great solution". hang the sucker up on the wall until ready to use and then slide it into your receiver hitch when it's time to change a tire.

That would be the, very big dollar, NoMar setup. The clamping setup is top shelf and you pay for it. the bar works well for dismounting, not so good at installation. This new lever we've been yacking about has the NoMar's dismount design, but uses the superior MojoLever mounting end.

Bolted but not permanent

A question for you Harbor Freight tire machine owners. I know the best thing would be to bolt the whole shebang to the floor, but that much real estate in Chicago is not in the budget. I'm thinking of bolting it to a 1" thick by 4'x4' piece of MDF that I have.
What have the rest of you gurus done?
I use Red Heads to bolt mine to the concrete floor. When I am done I just unscrew it, put tape over the holes in the floor to keep dirt out and put the tire changer in the shed for storage. 4 bolts doesn't take long and you will find when yanking on the lever you might like the fact that it is bolted to some real estate.

Thought about doing that, but my old house originally had a dirt floor basement and when concrete was poured in the 40s it was done fairly thin(1"). I would have had to pound out a section and repour thicker.

Hey guys,
I'm the builder of the Dave bar.

Have any of you guys had a chance to use it and are you happy with it? Also were the instructions straight forward enough to get the job done without any cursing. Hehe Cursing during tire changing means somethings not working right.

I've decided to keep on building them. Seems like when ever I finish one batch more people want one and I kinda enjoy making them.

Anyway just wanted to stop in and say howdy.

Thanks,
Dave

Wow, first time in a long time I've seen the actual word spelled correctly, cursing and not the southern version, cussing

Done two tires so far

No scratches and it works great.

So far all I have done is tires for friends. I'll burn one up here in a few weeks. Did 300 + miles today.

Your in luck TxRider25 since I have ONE left from the last batch. I sent the payment info via PM.

Looks like the next batch will be 14 units instead of 7. That way I can keep a few extra's around.

Hey guys,
I'm just about finished with another batch of 14.

I'm starting up a website within the next few days and would like to get some testimonials from some of you that have used the bar. I'd like to post your name comments and the motorcycle forum if you don't mind.

I'd really appreciate your input. I'm only going to sell small numbers of the bars because they take SO much time to fab. I'll post the website up here so you can check it out.

Thanks,
Dave

Not yet

I'm itching to use the Dave Bar and am out scouting wheels/tires to change. But for now I will say the quality and rugged construction are better than anything I've seen or used.
