Milan Show - New Prilla
Just back from the Milan show, and what a show! Completely different to the traditional UK NEC job in that it is 99% trade based. Almost impossible to spend any money!!
No one selling cheap leathers or any old 2005 / 2006 old tat, just hundreds of exhibitors spread over 6 halls, it took us 6 hrs non stop just to get round it all. However................. on to the important stuff! Take a look at this beast blow and Aprilias answer to the Ducati Hypermotard for 2008. Both these bikes and the new 1200 shiver (sorry no pics) were absolutely superb in the flesh (so to speak) the build quality looked amazing. The new 08 Tuono was there as well, the blue colour scheme gets a blue surround to the nose fairing but nothing elase as far a I could see. However the new white & silver colour scheme was superb though. Oh and a quick pic of the new V4 motor for the 2009 WSB racer (the bike wasn't there though, real shame, however neither was the new Desmosedici RR) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nice or what? Tuono factory 2008
Quote Blogspot.com : Minor changes for the 08 Tuono models. The factory now has gold wheels and red decals on the front fairing instead of a white decal. And also all the 2008 Tuono R's have black wheels now.

![]() That is horrible! Looks like the Italian designers have been watching Power Rangers, or at best it looks like someone's been playing Jenga with the parts bin!

Yes indeed !!
Who's paying all those "engineers etc" to make such models ???? Wonder if that back-brake works , if it hasn't condens in the dash .....

And why oh why orange?? Immediately I think of KTM and dodgy looking Kawasaki's when I see orange, or Judith Chalmers, David Dickinson etc etc....
Did you get any pics of KTM's RC8??

Oh yes, (sorry about the quality,I was getting knocked from pillar to post) I have to say it's fantastic, had a sit on it and the riding position was superb, loads of room and easily as comfy as the Gixer K6 /7 . Clocks are superb as well. There was loads of interest in the KTM's in general.
What about the Vectrix bikes though eh?, Electric superbikes?? One of the biggest and most professional stands at the show was dediciated to electric power. So it's coming whether we like it or not, but based on this, maybe the future ain't too bad ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() F9

Does anybody remember a guy called Andy Sparrow who did a cartoon called Blood Runners for one of the Bike magazines back in the 80's (BIKE I think)?
Looks like they nicked some of his ideas.... ![]() ![]() http://www.bloodrunners.co.uk/bikes/10.htm http://www.bloodrunners.co.uk/bikes/index.htm

They better show a new V4 soon or a large part of the interest will be over...
