Or, that could be expressed as "you got several years on me".

I have some digital photos of my '76 Zundapp Florett 2 stroke, which I had modified with Morbidelli a cylinder (44.2mm) and increased the volume from 75cc to 80cc (if I am not wrong I used sand paper from 50 grit down to 200, lots of sanding). Now, the bike is completely renovated to new standards and only with original parts or parts that were available that time (morbidellis). Naimchase, if you permit I will attach the digital photos of the old bike. M

    OK. Just 'cause it's you.

At least the BIKE is pre-digital.

    And I know you are.

    Kreidler Florett '76

    This is my first bike.
Was a 75cc and modified to 80cc with a Morbidelli cylinder. Note the kickstarter on the left (no electrical start).
The bike would go unmodified about 40 mph. However, after modification it would go like 60mph, too much for the frame. We actually tried to dampen the resulting wobble at "high" speeds with pouring total of 3kg of molten lead into the tube frame.

    Cool! Great little bike.

The things we have done for our "love".

My first was a CB160. I'll really have to dig for a picture of that.

This was my first ride ('69 Hercules Sachs 50cc, from my granny, still have it and use it!):

Followed by a '74 Moto Guzzi Trotter 50 and two Honda Camino 50cc's ('82 and '84)

Then I had this (and still have it) - A '79 Honda CB50J

Then a '74 Vespa Primavera 125 (still have it, no pictures scanned)

Then a '81 Yamaha RD500 (no pics scanned)

When I moved to the UK for University, I gave up biking (f*cking rain in England) for a decade...

Except for this '81 Yamaha RD 125 two cylinder I got during a University exchange year in Toulouse, Southern France - loved it, got me all the way up the Pyrenees into Spain on many weekends:

All other moldy pics are cars - for me, mopeds / scooters & motorcycles where just a mode of transport to get around in the crowded old city centres... Only took up biking for fun in 2001 (on the Belgarda SZR660 pictured in my sig).

    You guys are old!

Guess I'm really not all that old...

My pride and joy for many many years, before the Mille. Even took my license test on this one back in the day: a '71 /5

Spent a year on a '96 Speed Triple before I found my '03 Mille...

    What a fun transition.
    Poor. Ugly. Happy.

Its cool to see everyones version of "their" old bikes. Depending on your age.
I love the 60's/70's stuff. So many bikes have dissappeared into the woodwork.
My riding days on streetbikes didn't arrive 'till the end of the 70's, but they were some good years.
My just re-discovered pics haven't seen the light of day in nearly 25 years, so I am enjoying posting them up...
My 77 Kaw had a RB Racing(Robert Baines) pipe on it, jetted & Blue Goose coils on it. What ever happened to that stuff.

Nice pics guys and thanks for making me feel really really young, most of your pics are older than I'm (at least the bikes are) Well I didn't get my first motorcycle until I was 9 (1980) but I don't think I of any film pics except for of my 91 GSXR (mom & dad might have some but they live in nor cal). I might have one of me at 2 sitting on the back of my dad's motorcycle. I dad has a bunch pics of some of the bikes he had (mostly HD's though) if you'd like to see but unless he can scan and send them I can't get them until later this month.

Those are some great bikes. Naimchase that Spondon RZ350 almost brought tears to my eyes. I passed on 1 when I was going through my Harley phase. I'll see if I can dig up any pictures of my old Matchless racer though.

And keep the pictures of older GP bikes coming. Those bikes and the riders still amaze me.

OK, here is an older Suzuki.
BTW, all my race pics are from Laguna Seca in '81 or '82.
