I thought they have to replace it. It is a safety issue and should be changed. Don't matter how old it is. Contact Aprilia Australia.

Voor those who think a clean "wrong" swingarm can be welded : mine still cracker after 4 years!
Swingarm was new unsused when I got it, removed the rivet and de hole got welded by an expert.

    So be aware!

Hi guys. I read this topic because I have a Aprilia RSV Factory 2004 and my swingarm have 2 holes.
I called today The Aprilia Dealer from my town (BUCHAREST) I told them that my bike has a recall for swingarm.
They checked in the datebase and said me : your motorcyle does not appear to the list with recall, and maybe another owner was to recall, but my swingarm has 2 holes.
Tomorow I coming with photos. What can I do?

So if my swingarm has part #30 in the second pic, it's the updated one, yes? My '04 only has 5500 miles, should have it back in another week or so. I'm wondering if I should go check it while it's still in the shop. If it doesn't have this part, I could ask the dealer to order the newer swingarm? Or since it's 12 years old, it doesn't matter?

Nope. If you have a concern about it, compare your swingarm to the pics earlier in the thread.
