    Exhaust Mod for Capo!

Just bought Ergo's '03 Capo. Thx for a great ride man! Put over 300 miles on the Gray Ghost Sunday playing with the boys and 1 girl up on Old Liberty Highway in NC. Must say that I love the bike! Much more fun than my old BMW Adventure. Only thing missing for me is some exhaust note. Does anyone have an exhaust mod for the stock cans to get a little more out of em? The Caporider.com link for exhaust mods has gone TU. Already looked there.
OK - Now let the FNG jokes begin! Also, looking for advriders in NC.
    Later!

Welcome to the forum, we're glad to have you.
Do a search for posts by Team222 concerning exhaust mods. Mike (Team222) has adapted Ducati mufflers to fit his Capo with good results. I know a few other owners have expressed interest and purchased parts but I'm not sure they have completed the switch.
I have Remus cans on mine as do a few other owners. If you just look around you can find reviews and opinions on most of the available cans.

Good luck with your bike, you'll like it more and more each day...

    Capo Exhaust Mod

Thx guys. Team222 - Great sound outta the Duck cans. Can't believe that a Kawa was leading you thru though! Seriously good sounding bike.
    Break
Any canisterectomy tips or links. As you can tell I'm a minimalist and can't stand things that don't have to be there.
One day I hope to contribute to the forum, but for now I'm the "Grasshopper"!

The runs were staged with space between each bike as I am sure you know by the commentary on the video. Most there in person thought the Capo was actually faster but we never ran them side by side. I doubt this given HP advantage Kawa has on Capo.

A guy had a Ducati ST4s did get by eventually on a very, very long straight...but this was in slow motion if you will vs a 40mph better top end. I would estimate he had maybe 5 mph or so more on top over the Capo. I did not see either of these guys in the twisties.........they were too far behind the Capo!!!!

Dont worry about contributing....you will be able to over time based on all the things you do to the Capo.

My contributions here are limited in scope also. I can advise you on the 916 mufflers but best is to check the writeup and post any q. I also can tell you what I did to mine to improve handling if this is of interest. No clue on a "canisterectomy" but many have on this line have done it.

    Welcome to the line

Thumbs up Handling Tips from the Master

Team 222, You bet I'd like to hear all your handling secrets. Just love taking Adv Touring Bikes and handing it to the rice burner boys. My old Adventure was a lot of fun, but nothing compared to the Capo. I'll be looking for some good info on handling from ya. What I've done to my Gray Ghost - Hyperpro springs front and rear with 20wt oil up front, Tourance rubber all around.

Oh, we're riding in NC mountains this weekend. Later
