    Talking Question: Hand guard mounting....

I have questions about installing a set of Pro-Rally hand guards w/ the fat-bar mount kit.

First off, the stock bar is thick-walled----which prevents the mount from going into the end.

Second, the brake-side seems to narrow to fit (and clear) the lever....

    Any help would be appreciated.

I ran into the same problem. I used a 9/16th drill and bored out the end of the bar to accomdate the insert. You will need to move your break assy in about 1/8 of an inch toward the center clamp. After that, you should not have any problem.

I looked at every mounting option at my disposal--including going to a different bar. At this time there is no other option. You must drill the bar or go to a different bar. The bars on the Aprilia are beefy. After mounting I have no issues with vibration etc.

Kind of a hassle but it works.

I would post photos but nothing so far will let me do so.
