Total bikes imported to USA Averaged around 300/year for 2001-2003. 2004 and 2005 less were imported as the leftovers were sent for sale.

I can't say how collectable but total built worldwide build is probably around 5000-6000.

Well at least we have a *real* number, or at least as close as we can get.

So, if the US has 1200 total bikes and Bob Davis keeps depleting the stock.... yep, they are rarities- to me

Fuel Disconnect Recall states the number of effected units is 1,310 imported to the US.

So yes they are a rare bike.

Rode with a friend on his new K1200RS yesterday, nice bike but I would not trade him. The K1200RS has more power but weighs 100 pounds more and in the real world the two bikes were very similar with the Futura being alot more comfortable. The styling of the BMW is taken right from the Futura, mirrors, fairing, rear pegs, grab handles, all closely resemble the Futura, check out the picture.

Actually, that number refers to Caponords and Futuras, so it is not an accurate reflection of Futura numbers.
