LOL! 300 miles of non stop abuse huh? Im so paranoid that this thing is going to self destruct if I dont follow the break in instructions to a 'T'! My luck wouldhave it grenade about 50 miles from home. IDK.....so many stories of engine problems that I just figured the bike would last longer if broken in correctly. Maybe it will make a difference or maybe Im torturing myself for no reason! Haha!

Hey, where did you find the break in instructions? Can you please help me on that one. My SXV 450 will be here in two weeks time and I really dont know how im gonna break it in. I've heard many theories, but nothing official.

I rode mine 60 miles btb. I couldn't handle it anymore, been bouncing off the limiter since. We'll see how it looks when I tear it down at the end of this summer.

I've always loved everything about this bike, except the front fender.

Over winter I finally had the chance to stop riding it, and do something about it. I started out filling the factory light hole completely with intentions of adding two HID projectors. After the project started taking shape I realized the two round projectors don't belong anywhere near the crisp angular look of the bike. ended up opening it all back up and re-installing the factory light, with a bit of tint. The fender is Husqavarna 510.

Also installed an Edge tail light with integrated signals.

Standard 450, except tail tidy..Just lowered the forks by 4 lines and what a difference. (one is a photo before the tail tidy...just noticed)
