Nailed the tune on it. It had every mod known to man, way too much compression for 6 heat range plugs too! Going to 8 heat range and adding a PCIIIusb on top of the horrible MG Racing ECU made a night and day difference. One of the oddest maps I have written to date, 60-80-100% TP were all totally different levels of fueling. To make any real power it would have required larger throttle bodies, they were definitely the choke point for power on that motor. When the owner took it for a test ride before paying he came back with a huge smile, I knew he was thrilled with it.

Best compliment from him was, "it runs like a properly carbureted bike now, like a well tuned stock bike whether at 1500 or 7000 rpm! Fueling had to be artificially rich in a few places to keep detonation at bay but being air cooed this is acceptable.
Diminished expectations is the key to happiness in life.

This is my Breva. It's my first Guzzi and I love it. Picked it up last July brand new. Couldn't believe how great this bike handles and does in twisties. The center stand was scratched within couple of weeks after I bought the bike .
Couple of pics taken when I brought the bike home...

Last Weekend I finally got the side bags I was waiting for a 4 and 1/2 months. They were worth the wait. And this is what the bike looks today...
    full setup

    and for work commute...

You are such a meanie. scratching your stand!!
My first date with my wife i took her for a ride on my 1970 Ambassador. That puttering tank willingly dragged mufflers thru every hairpin. Just grinding away happy as can be.

Nice dejvan. The guys at Moto I are great, huh? I too was surprised at how easily my 1200 Sport handles. It's so heavy moving it around the garage, but so light in a corner.

I have the same bags, and though it took me awhile to get the hang of closing them while being sure things inside didn't pinch, I love them. Moto I had OEM accessory liner bags that are neat. If you haven't seen them you might ask if they have some in stock.

How's that exhaust? I've been afraid to put an aftermarket can on mine as it is already lean. Did Micha get it dialed in?

Very cool these bikes. I'm on mine every day to work.

A few others I have had.

Yes I had a Quota. I wanted a 1100, but this came along. A bit slow, and heavy but surprisingly good to get sidways under power in gravel !!

Rode it across the Nullabour and could not wait to get off it. The seat was cutting me in half.

Monza I restored. It still gets around and sounds amazing with its full staintune system.

NTX was the wifes. She had full paniers and use to spend the weekend up in the country for work. Rock up to a nursing home in bike gear, change, bit of lippy (mirror in Givi top box) grab laptop and way you go !

The guys at Moto I are great. There is just not another motorcycle shop like Dave has...from my experience. Last saturday he helped me to put all the hardware for bags on right in front of the shop. I have to ask about the liners next time I'll be around.
The exhaust is nice looking and loud without db killer...but nice loud. Did not require any mods and I don't feel the bike is running lean, but I'm planning to get PCV from Guzzi tech in spring anyways. I did replace the stock cat with Mistral crossover as well. Helped with heat and all together shaved around 20lbs.

My new-to-me 1990 Mille and 2 year-old son trying to climb on.

When not riding, I go out to the garage and start it up just to hear it run. Never done that with any bike I’ve ever owned, including a VTR1000 which was no slouch itself.

The list of mods & adjustments to make has begun. First to go will be the flat bars, then a new rear tire, maybe new brake lines, a good clean & polish, and so on…..

Snowflake icon on the dash is neat when it gets in the 30s (Fahrenheit). Goes well in the slushy snow. Shock and hugger should complete the mods.
