I´ve been unlucky to have my crankshaft broken on my Mille -00.
Now, I have found a -02 engine to a fair price. My question is: Does the -02 engine fit without any modifications on my -00 Mille?
Excuse my english, I´m from Sweeeeden![]()

I'm sure there will be people on here who are much more knowledgable on the subject than myself, but, I think you may also have to fit an 02 ECU.
all you need is 2002 EPROM, the ECU and all other electronics is the same

Stupid as I am..... What is EPROM?? Is it software?Originally Posted by Ed / AF1 Racing
Its a chip with software and mapping tables for the ECU - the chip marked RP58 here:
If you find you need the 2001-02 chip let me know.... you can have this one for a modest sum (just the chip marked RP58)

Yes it will bolt right in, you can even get by without changing the chip, but the fuel mapping probably would be much closer to being correct with the 01-02 euro chips(02-03 US).
If the motor purchase falls thru I'm sue you could find someone with a good crank also, I actually have a couple but shipping to Sweeden from the West coast in the US would be to much.

Hey, I have an ECU I got used, it does not have the diode between the 2 pins at the top left of the photo ECU.(right next to the screw) The glue (or whatever it is) does not looked disturbed...I wonder what it does?
