Soft throwover panniers on your RSV?: Post pics in here plz

Recently bought a set of Oxford Sports throwover soft panniers for this summers riding, to give a bit of added space that the Humpback tankbag affords.

They fit fine, clear the exhaust etc, but this luggage stuff is all new to me.

I wondered if I could get some of you lot to post some pics/give advice on how best to have them sitting on the bike for fitting?.

Looks like I need to have them pretty high mounted, otherwise they might obscure the turn signals at the rear.

I have to take the wife as a pillion too, unfortunately!!!.

Thought I would post this in here first, but I'm gonna "double-post" it in the RSV section too, hope thats ok.

    Cheers for any pics/advice.

    Ecosse,
I'd love to post some pics for you but unfortunately I'm here in Japan at the moment and my bike and bags are in California. What I can tell you is that; yes they need to be mounted fairly high. If you have a pillion rider then it's a bit tougher but the bags I have, I strap to the foot peg brackets on the forward edge and then to themselves just under the tail section aft of the turn signals. Mine doesn't have foot pegs though so I have to use the exhaust hanger and then loop an extra strap around the subframe to secure the other side. It's not rocket science but yeah, you want to have the turn signals visible and also clear the exhaust......sean

I'm not sure how you could get a passenger on the back with any strap on soft bags taht I've seen. Here is a pic of my RKAs on my Tuono prior to my cross country ride last month.

    Cheers for the pic.

Well, after a bit of experimentation, finally got them sitting secure, packed up and ready to go.

Well clear of the exhaust, sitting above the indicators so they are in view from the rear and looking fine as far as I can see.

Got one strap under the seat, other two above. Bungee underneath at front and one on the rear. I've put that Oxford rubber stuff underneath to stop the paint getting marked, plus a load of tape where the bungees are sat just in case.

Now all I need is the weather to be favourable tomorrow and I'm all set!!!.
