Is it the same ECU on the the piaggio ditech with the old design as on the piaggio ditech with the new design?
And can i for example put a ECU from the piaggio ditech with the new or old design in my morini ditech and then derestrict the ECU with the 2.8.0?
Oscar
From what I understand after reading up on the subject there's only one set of maps for all ditech's. So the answer to your question is yes, Oscar - if I've got it right.

perhaps there is 2 maps for the ditech...Originally Posted by DonWerner
if you buy the malossi kit for the scabero ditech (air) engine
then i think the map is different...
the number for the one to sr ditech 6712167 "ecu only"
and the number for scabero is 6712168 "ecu only"
so maybe the map for scabero will give more fuel...
i think this becoures maybe the scabero use the bit more fuel
for colling and becoures it drives whit a bigger whell 17" i think
thats why i think there is 2 maps to pick from if you drive malossi..
i know if i ever will buy a ECU then is will be the one from scabero
I now there's a diferends in 'MADE IN' between the ECU's. The one type is made in france the other in austrilia . The old air cooled type's usses the 'france' type and also old types < 2002 . Later types gets the 'austrailian' ecu here . The word goes that the 'france' type gives a higher rpm when NOT restrictedOriginally Posted by Speedway

Okey, thanks for that!![]()
No i have another question
I have looked on my ECU on my morini Ditech and then i see that it is 2 contacts, one big and one small, but the small is not connected to the ECU. Its connected to a small little box
Can anyone explane this?
Because I have e friend that has a Piaggio Ditech and he wants to derestrict his ECU, and i have the game boy kit. But he living far away from me
So he sent me his ECU box but he forgot the "little box". But can i connect his ECU box in my Ditech with mine "little box" or can i skip to connect it and just connect the big contact.
I hope you get what i mean
Oscar
Do you mean this box ?
Its the injection relais ,and has nothing to do with de-restricion or so what
>>>>CLICK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TOOL<<<<
Yes! that is what i mean
So then i can use my "little box" when i derestrict his ECU?
i have heard about a program on the computer there you "design" your own ECU maps and then donwload it to your game boy
Is this true and if where can i get it?
Oscar
One more thing:
Can i really take a sr50 r factory 2005 ECU and put in a morini ditech and derestrict it with a game boy, because i saw now that the new genaration have a ECM and not a ECU?
Can anyone explane this?
SR50R Factory and SR50 DiTech has exact the same ECU Hardware. But the software it's programmed with is'nt the same.
I think it would work well to connect a factory ECU to a ditech and re-program it.
Edit: I've checked TMP Retailer site for updates to ditech. I did'nt seen anything newer than 2.8.0 there.

DonWerner: Have you find a pc serial cable to connect the game boy to the computer yet?
Yeah, I found one place here in Denmark, where they sold it, but it was way to exspensive (450 USD). What about you, do you have the cable? If so, where did you get it and how much did you pay for it?
