Only in diagnostic mode. If it happens with the diaqgnostic connectors unplugged, it's likely a weak battery.

    Yo Zonkel

Nothing wrong with the bike! You need to be patient, that's all!. After you've switched the bike on, it goes through a diagnostics mode and the fuel pump primes the system. DON't hit the strater button while this is happening.

I asked the same question on this forum just after I got my Capo cause i was convinced ther was something wrong.

Patience is a virtue that very few of us posess.

Yo Wynand. After kicking GS bud with the Capo (still waiting for the pics from GS boys, I think they are holding back), I am devastated when a problem like this happens. They will never know that the Capo can also give problems. But ye, I am patient, always, when switching it on, but this is another problem. Stu gave me some good advice and Monday I will go to the Aprilia in Centurion and tell them what to do. Amazingly, they do not have any idea what the problem could be.
If I had to sell my software packages in the same manner as Aprilia gives service, I would not last 1 week. Shame on them!!

But maybe they do not have the internet?

You can't complain about service.........CAUSE THERE AINT NO SERVICE!!!!!! And it seems to be a international problem. I got better service from a single guy, bringing Guzzi spares into SA, than from this crowd at Aprilia.

Pathetic!.....is all I can say. They are killing a great bike.

I had the same problem intermitently for a while, tried the battery connections, even charged up the battery, still the problem. Last week I replaced the rear brake pads and did a track day and the EFI problem went away! Coincidence?
