    Derbi Mulhacen

Now that Derbi's 659cc Yamaha-powered thumper is in production how 'bout a closer look?

Derbi is a Spanish company and another Piaggio holding, but I am not sure they are doing business in the USA at this time.

    Yamaha Mill

    Figure on it being reliable!

I think it's easily the neatest production thumper around today, maybe someday it'll come Stateside. With gasoline nearing $4 a gallon I'd love to have one for the daily commute!

This is a cool one, I was pretty saddened when Derbi stopped importing to the US. Derbi's product range has continued to broaden and improve since coming under the Piaggio umbrella several years ago.

I am inevitably drawn to all the thumpers, something about just putting the bare essentials into the bike makes the experience a little more pure.

I want one for the daily commute. Since the Pagaso doesn't come to the US.

Any idea of the weight? Lighter than the Pagaso, SXV?RXV?
