Exclamation Pegaso cube '00 w/ Factory Pro Pegaso 650 Jet Kit

It's been almost 2yrs since I got my Factory Pro Pegaso 650 Jet Kit from AF1racing and I finally decided to install it. I have '00 Pegaso Cube (Europe) with K&N and Leo X3. Carbs have pilots pressed in. Nothing little drilling cant fix. I managed to install pilot jets, needles and main jets according to supplied manual. Didn't work very good. Tried some different combinations but still no luck.
Since AF1 test Pegaso was exact same setup as mine can you (AF1) or some else give me their setup to start working with? Main Jet size (stock is different on US and EU models), needle high and any other hint.

    Thanks

    Neven

I'm pretty sure the US carbs are not the same as the Europe models, and I don't tink it's just down to the pressed in main jets, I think they may be a lot different!

My best advice to you is to take it to a Dyno centre and let them play with it.

I've tried speking to Dynojet, AF1 and Power jet. None of the kits they do are for the Europe model. Someone said Dynojet do a kit for the BMW F650, but thinking about it that has a 4 valve head (if I recall correctly).

As wrong jetting can f*** an engine, I personally wouldn't risk it, but get it Dynoed.

I've fitted a Staintune exhaust and am about to fit a K&N filter in about a months time. I will then get it Dynoed to get the jetting sorted, if you're near me (Portsmouth, England) perhaps we could take them along at the same time and get "two for the price of one?"

Mine is also a year 2000 model.

I meant Factory Pro jet above, not "Power jet".

EU and US versions carbs indeed are different. I would apriciate if someone can post default main and pilot sizes for US version. Although I don't think u can fu engine by testing different setups on carb only performance.

F650 uses Rotax engine with Mikuni carbs and it is 4 valve.

Main issue is IMO 45 minute job for every damn single test cause u have to dissasamble half of the bike to get to carb.

K&N filter model from AF1 online shop fits perfectly in stock airbox. U could consider buying Pegaso IE airbox cover and cut out center to get maximum air intake.

And no, i'm not close to UK. I'm in Croatia.

I was E mailing a guy from Factory Pro about the jet set they do for the U.S. Pegaso. He seemed to think the American bike had 36mm Carbs (couldn't be certain though), and the EU bikes use 32mm ones. This is why I warned of caution. It may be that the US with their stricter emmision laws, has a "lot different" carbs than the EU. After all why build two carbs exactly the same but some with press in pilots, and the others with screw ins?

I'm not sure about this next bit, but EU carbs have an air screw for the pilot jet mixture. Do the US not have these screws, but use different jet sizes to achieve the same thing??

I tried to look into the model No's stamped on the carbs to look up more details, but couldn't find a good source of info.

As I said earlier I'd be very cautious of using anyones recommendations for the kit you've got on an EU bike.

If the mixture is very lean it may cause locallised heating and harm the engine. You probably won't be altering things this much, but I wouldn't risk it.
