    Bef Fraud

This is one of these occasions when you feel stupid, and totally remorseful
Almost two months ago I bought a semi-full system to BEF though bank transfer (). First of all I got in touch with this guy and he told me that the pipes were on stock, and the delivery time 2-5 days. I've got all the e-mails with all the previous communications with BEF regarding the purchasing. Since you can imagine, I've sending e-mails and calling BEF thousands of times without any response.

In this momment, this issue has been denounced to the technological police brigade here in spain as an internet fraud (obviously), and all the information has been given to them. They've told me that they will transfer the information to Interpol, as you should know, BEF is located in Belgium. The process could be slow, but they have guaranteed that with all the information they have, the matter will go ahead. I must be patient. I've sent a claim form thorough the European Consumer Center agaist BEF also, another way to proceed in these issues, and I'm studing the possibility to go straight to belgium police with the help of my family in Holland.

The other day, I sent a SMS to WIm (BEF owner or something like that) telling the steps I'm carrying out to claim my money (or the exhaust), and it was very funny when suddenly he called me back very upset, I din't hear what he wanted to tell me because I started shouting that the only thing I want from BEF is the purchasing in Spain asap. This is incredible.

I warn all futura owners about this guy, be very careful and never buy him something except using paypal, or even more, never buy him anything.
I regret having to tell something so depressing, probably I should have consulted to this forum before buying the exhausts.
    Sorry for my english.
    Bye.

Here must be some misunderstanding. I can not in any way imagine that Wim is responsible for this. When I bought my Befs more than two years ago, the payment in cash was sendt inside a Cd-cover as a letter. He called me back as soon as it arrived and shipped the package the same day.
This "special"was done because of the Norwegian Tax rules.....

There is a problem of delivery time only.
A friend of mine here in France ordered a pair cans (2005 august), and he had to wait some long weeks, he call many times and was afraid about his money.
At the end he received a semi-full system (pair of cans and h-pipe) from Wim to excuse himself about the delay.
I'm sure there is no fraud.

methinks he doth protest too much?

ok, so I've been on the list a while, and fairly new to the futura world and Bef's often responses. I flamed him a bit because I couldn't find a futura in Europe without all the gadamm taxes and? He wrote me back, sympathized with my issues, and wished me good luck with my purchase, true good-sported business(send it privately btw). So, with a "whopping" 3 posts someone is denouncing someone who has, as I can see, gone to a lot of trouble to help develop products for the now defunct Futura. Give me a fucking break! If I notified "INTERPOL"(MI3 material?) about the injustices presented to me, an American, living in europe? I'd have 'em on speed dial..

take a pill, relax, and stop slagging the guy, he's out there doing what others can only imagine doing - ex? the rear wheel cover, any complaints with that?
(Oh, and Bef, you owe me at least one Chimay blue for this)

I would of imagined if you consulted this forum you would have heard nothing but praises for Bef and Wim ( when they were together) many of us have bought there fine products and have not had a problem. and in fact Bef is still about on this forum and making little trinkets for our bikes.

I believe there was a parting some time ago so I dont know what the current situation is....

but when bef comes up with or designs something I want for my bike I will have no reservations about purchasing it from him......

OR........ do we have a TROLL!?????

While I have not purchased exhausts from Bef, I have purchased other items. I have had no problems with my transactions. I understand that Bef is no longer in the exhaust side of the business. Were I in your position, I would have contacted Bef on the forum via PM and sought his help before making such a statement publicly. All in all it seems very unfair of you to air such items without first having tried all means to take care of the situation.

I know for definite that Bef has no dealings anymore with the exhaust side of things but, as others have pointed out, he does still tinker with things now and then.

Palfinger - I sympathise with your situation and hope the outcome is the one you want but this is the very first time (to my knowledge) I have heard anything, other than praise, for the BEF Exhaust business. I would venture that your regretable situation is an isolated incident.

In fact, the more I think about it the more I don't believe you, we Brits call it "talking bollocks".

I think bullit got it right. Thousands of phone calls? Interpol involvement? Nah, just a cranky loser trashing someone's reputation rather than trying to work things out? So, Bef, what's the story?

Sounds like the ranting of a lunatic. Where's the evidence and why wait 'til now before checking this forum. Malicous claims should not be aired on the forum without first checking with a gynaeocologist...

Bef is a righteous dude. Maybe the company he left is not.
If so they should stop using his name and dragging it through the mud.

    Unfortunate caption

Were I in your position, I would have contacted Bef on the forum via PM and sought his help before making such a statement publicly.
I think I need to clear up a few things here. Palfinger (the name's Dani, like Pedrosa) did contact me via PM and explained the situation. This was a few weeks ago.

As you all know - except Jimbob maybe - I'm no longer in the exhaust business.
What Jean-François said is true. I got numerous phone calls - Wim doesn't speak French - from his friend and did all I could to get the matter resolved. In the end it was - and the guy was never angry with me personally - but this was the last straw for me.
"There's just so much you can do to hold it all together before you say 'fuck it' and walk away." That's a quote from someone on the forum who did the same very recently.

Palfinger knows I'm a righteous dude and meant no offense to me personally. He got in touch with me months before he bought and is now kicking himself he didn't buy while I was still doing the sales. I would have made sure he got his stuff. I always have.
Naming the company BEF was maybe not such a good idea after all. I knew this would come back to haunt me from time to time.

Wim (BEFexhausts' owner)'s is a friend of mine and although I haven't seen or heard from him in a while I'm not prepared to go stabbing him in the back. With me out of the picture, you order something, you take your chances. Paypal is the safest way to go. You don't get what you want in a reasonable period of time, you get your money back no problem.
Wim will not take your money and leave you with nothing intentionally. It's just his way. He's kinda laidback.

Everybody who's ever dealt with me for a purchase at Befexhausts in the past, posters or lurkers, US citizens, Brits, Frenchies, Germans, Norwegians, Fins, Czecks, Ozzies, Kiwis, Dutch, everybody knows my name is Hugo and I've always helped out best I could. No-one in the two years has ever blamed me for things going wrong.

I think that's all I can say on the matter.

I think the problem here is everyone is defending you Bef and everyone here thinks Palfinger is calling you (Bef) out as a fraud when in actuality Palfinger is upset at BEF (notice the capital letters he consistently used in his post) the company which then translates to being upset with Wim. Unfortunately he didn't capitalize "Bef" in "Bef Fraud" which is the title of this thread.

So, everyone take a chill pill. I think Palfinger is using reasonable judgement and warning everyone of what we've been told before. Bef isn't with BEF anymore so you are on your own. I would proabably do the same as Palfinger. I'd want my stuff to me ASAP if I paid money too.

    Yes, you could have.

I took care of that for you.

    PALFINGER,
Edit the thread if you can to capital letters "BEF (company) Fraud". It might help clear things up, unless of course you are mad at Bef too.
