BWS50 & BWS100 engines are virtually the same & you can fit them on either frames, you may need to do some rewiring but apart from that it's a straight swap.

we got plenty of those running around here.

I just bought a 2008 Lambretta DUE50 in the states. The restriction in the CVT has been removed but nothing else has been done. It has the Minarelli style AC horizontal design. I weight 225+ and it can pull me 37mph completely stock (minus the CVT restrictor). Do they usually have some kind of restrictor at the pipe or in the manifold also?

I already did a subtle stripe and number with a shamrock...just couldn't stand the stock look...now I want to juice it up just a bit. I am getting 114+ MPG or 2.07L/100km and I don't want to lose it all. I do want the scoot to get up to around 45mph with ease...what are my immediate options?

The Malagutis are sick I had one and they were great but I sold it due to the lack of US involvment. The SR is awesome but the Phantom is sick.

    Talking So...

Am I correct with the understanding that my 04 Zuma has the same motor as the Aprilia scooters? That's awesome since I love my 02 RSV Mille and "settled" for the Zuma instead of an Aprilia scooter due to cost and availability. My Zuma just got a whole lot cooler to me then.

I just sold my 04' Zuma last night. Avg 75mpg. Cruised at 38mph. Flat ground top speed 47.8mph (gps confirmed) Mods: Technigas RS pipe, Athena Variator, torquespring, clutchsprings.

Theres only room for one scooter in my bank account. The 05 Mojito 150 is my new girl and she better start behaving. I bought her used for less than I sold my Zuma. Not a bad upgrade. But carb rebuild, oil change, inflated tires, new battery, flushed fuel system and she still won't break 40mph. She will this weekend. I'm gettin tired of all this wrenchin though.

Oh, the 04' Zuma was bullet proof. I'd rock her at 40mph WOT for miles on end and never had a hesitation. Could kick her once on a cold morning and she'd start. Dammit, I'm going to miss her.

Best Zuma is a vertical engined ZUma with a new subframe welded on to mount the horizontal motor! Much lighter than the newer heavy pig zumas. I have a stock '97 Zuma that will be my stunt bike soon.

Another brand that is a cheaper knock off is SMC. Taiwan company standard motor company. It's modeled after the old yamaha jog axis and comes with an aircooled horizontal motor. Mine has been converted to water cooled polini evolution ported tuned and pretty much every part on it you can get. With the gears it used to have it was ran at a max open road speed of 93mph! This is on a street legal 70cc scooter! Right now I have the shorter gears in it for acceleration for 1/4 mile but still tuning it for that.
    Here's a couple pics:

Motul 600 or Motul Scooter Power 2T is the way to go with these scooters, iridium sparkplugs are what i use (Denso IW31), do you have a liquid cooled or air cooled engine?

i see, rumors, a load of crap, don't pass judgment before you actually tried the product.

i have used many brands over the past decade (Castrol, Maxima, Repsol, Silkolene) but only Motul has performed well up to my expectations.

Castrol is the worst, it builds up carbon real quick blocking the exhaust port & the component wear is a lot faster than the other brands.

do your research first before accepting rumors as fact.
