    Road Racer X

I went to work earlier this week and a buddy of mine stopped by my desk and asked if I'd seen Road Racer X yet. I said no, then asked why. He came back after lunch to show me the magazine and lo and behold my family and I are in the back ground of one of the pictures! Not just a little one, but the big, two page picture from the Supermoto Race in Reno back in October. I was shocked! I've never been in a nationally circulated magazine before. It was kind of odd too, as we were at the event for two days and the one picture we ended up in was from a place where we stopped for maybe 20 minutes. We're in the Jan 06 issue on the first page (72) about the Reno event in the back ground, but in focus. My little one is wearing his Rossi T-shirt so you'll be able to see him right away. I'm right next to him in the white KC-10 aircrew shirt.(We're right below the Mardi Gras sign, under the "s" My wife and step son are to the left side of the picture, you can see him clearly, he's wearing a gray HUMMER t-shirt and my wife is right behind him. She's blonde and her hair is blowing all over from the wind tunnel effect of being on the outside of.....well, essentially a tunnel. Just thought I'd share,......sean

    Richard,
I'm not grumpy in the picture....it was really windy on that side of the course. I was squinting to keep the sand out of my eyes! Rick, that was from last year at the MotoGP weekend so YES, I was on leave. Richard and a buddy of his met up with Crissy and I for dinner at the Crown and Anchor Pub Monterey. May try to do so again next year but I think after the GP in 2006, I'll likely be looking for somewhere else to spend my money, like maybe Donnington or possibly Assen. I'd even like to try to get to Imola or Misano or somewhere in Italy for a GP......sean

I was considering Mugello next year, but my niece is getting married in San Diego July 7th, so I'll be in that area instead. Looks like Laguna again next year. Ride from SD to Monterrey?

Ya know Rick, that might not be a bad idea. Skip MotoGP altogether in '07 and go to Europe to see some WSBK racing. (Smacking head) Why didn't I think of that before?........sean
