Dutch AF1 picture

somebody in Holland sent me this picture of their Aprilia AF1, which is the predecessor to the RS50

Looks a lot like an old GSXR 750 with a single sided swingarm.

this one doesnt look like mine at all. the fairings are totaly diffrent. Mine is a 1992 af1 50cc. However it does have the single swingarm.

it looks like a nice one but its been resprayed. i'm doing one up at the moment but its best to leave them original.

i have just bought a af1 50cc and am wondering what my tp speed will be, i am not legal to ride it yet

the top speed is about 60-65mph unrestricted. i recntly rebuilt mine and i'm now selling it with a full m.o.t if anyones interested.

I've got the 125 version, but it looks less ugly, the zorst is higher, fatter tyres, it looks more in proportion. Just needs a tidy, a new paint job and she'll be sorted.

the one at the top will be an '88/'89 (slight cosmetic changes between the two) model, thats what my 125 version is. The other one is something like '87 i think this was when the AF1 was introduced.

i think these were the last AF1, the futura, I think this one will be from about '93 i have seen a 125 version, same colour scheme, for sale for £1800 ono it is a 1993 model.

yo i just got an af1 50 and have stripped it RIGHT down

ive just sprayed the black frame silver and am doing an engine overhaul. not bad for a 15 yr old on an 11 yr old bike!!! mines a '92 and was wonderin if ppl could tell show me sum pics of the paint jobs they've done cos the plastics need doin.

also could sum1 tell me what i can do to it to make it go that ickle bit quicker but spendin, well, nowt (or as little as poss)

and where can i get decent spares like head gaskets, piston rings and kickstart (all f*cked on mine). my place sed they dont do em nemore cos the bikes discontinued for over 5 yrs
