    bikes

    ok guys
knowing a few blokes that ride bikes, what is it that once you riden a v twin you have one a while then think not sure about this ,go and sell it ,get the latest thing normally a jap four, hate the thing after a month and then get another twin, 4 guys i know have done that. none can give a good reason . the only reason i can give is that when i get on a 4 it feels lifeless. i know when your giving it shit it does move 7000 to 14000 rpm fast ok, but twins its the banging shuddering resonating everywere plus surging to go constant, its alive ,love it and when you pass your mates and they say oh shit when you come past every were shook ,ye ha that does it for me .on the forth twin now and no looking back.

Twins give your seat a swift kick, and the fours I've ridden build their power. To do a good pass on a four banger it seems like you want to drop two gears, and on the twin- just twist the wrist. I've only been on a 2003 R6 though, but it seemed very sedate with the power only building to grin levels over 10,000rpm.

The big fun & grin factor is definately in V twins but if its adrenalin rush youre after it has to be inline straight 4's. Having just part ext a 2004 R1 for my new Tuono factory i naar what they are both like. Anyone who aint had a proper go on an R1 should try it sometime just to see what the difference is like.Having said that after riding an R1 missile at 12500 revs its nice to come back to reallity and have some great fun on the V twins.

Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

As for $8,500 for the '02, just my opinion, but that's too much for the early style when the new style exists. I'd forever have buyer's remorse when people show up on their new style bikes.

I guess I can say this on our forum, but would probably get blasted on the older bike forum.
