Did anyone ever get a story from their dealer that they do not wire the LED Brake light on the top box of the S500? They say that is an option and will cost extra parts and labor to get it wired??
What is the story?

Chris...check out this thread...http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/s...Light+Kit+S500
Everything was there on my S500, I just had to run wires from the
clipped wires exiting the top box brake light through the top
box tunnel to the connections under the seat. Check out the thread.

The lights don't come wired do to DOT regs., but the bulbs are there as stated above. It is easy to wire them yourself.
And why would a dealer do anything for free? When was the last time you told your boss "It's okay, you don't need to pay me for this hour, I'll just keep working for free!"?
I suspect you are getting a deal (not msrp) on the bike. I bet if you were paying close to retail the dealer would have just done it for free. When the product is discounted to sell the dealer doesn't make "his" money and is less likely to through in free-bees! Offer to pay MSRP and see if he will connect the light for free!
If it is a good deal, take it! If it is not walk away. But, don't be grudge a dealer for trying to make a living. If we don't support the few good dealers out there all we will have left are the ones we complain about!
Being a grudge??!?! HUH WHAT?!?!
I just asked a question and Marc Willow supplied me the answer with a link on how to exactly do it
Thanks Marc.
Joe... where did I go sounding like I have a grudge????? I like the local dealer, that is why I am buying it from them!
Sounded like you were trying to bash a dealer for charging you to make the light operational. Sorry if that wasn't what you ment!Originally Posted by ChrisFurman
