Custom Falcos, what inspires so many?

This is a thread to show off your custom Falco. What keeps amusing me is that you Falco guys are crown princes of Aprilia customs...not even the Mille guys dare to go where you guys do. I have personally seen at least 10 Flacos with Mille swingarms on them and now there is talk of adding the RST arm to one...what inspires you to do this to your Falco? I love that you guys will try anything on the SL1000, it gives me hope and motivation to do something crazy to mine.

Anyway, this thread is a sticky. Put all your custom Falco pics here, whatever you have done to make your bike different, even if it is minor. This will be a good place for people seeking inspiration to look when they get a Falco or decide to go modding thier existing bike.

Ok, I sold it about a year ago, but deep in my heart I still really miss this bike. It's just comforting to know that many of the bits I added over the time we were together are now helping to customise various Falcos from this forum. ScottyNI has my Ohlins, 20HZ has the swinger, Casey has the cans and NWS hangers, even the bellypan and front mudguard are now living in the USA.

When I bought my Falco, I was looking for something different. I started looking at options. Everyone rides Japanese, and I really don't need the hottest bike out there (mind, I was coming off a 15 year old FJ1100...). I started comparing price and performance, Ducati to Aprilia, and we all know how that math works out. For my riding, the Falco was good enough, and I don't need to have the hottest ride out there, so here I am.

I liked the looks of the Mille swingarm, and picked one up off eBay, but that's been done already, and I've always preferred to do something unique, so I've been looking for a Futura swingarm. Uh, and related bits... Now I've found one, and have a deal hammered out to acquire same, just waiting for all the bits to fall in line.

Otherwise, I haven't done much to it:

I too have been considering the Ohlins option...in both ends of the suspension. I am actually happy with the suspension as it is now...but it could be a LOT better. This statement is made from riding a LOT of Ohlins equipped motocrycles and as much as I hate to say it...there really is a big difference. You feel the Ohlins difference when you push a MilleR or Factory out of the shipping crate...it really does feel that much better, even to me.

The stock swingarm is fine with me...but my 15,500 mile SL needs suspenders...and a turbo. A nice variable vane, CT26 sized ceramic bearing equipped, water cooled, dual inlet turbine housing type of turbocharger....oh yes, one day it will be mine. If any of you are feeling generous....let me know.

This bike bone stock is a great bike, a few parts later it is excellent, and in my mind the best road bike ever.
Some bike rag and their twit doing a comparo,UKs Bike, said he bonded with a falco " on a grand scale" in the past but at that moment with full on racers like the sp2 his fragile ego couldn't handle being seen on anything less than a track bike with lights, I read between the lines. Only thing that he got right was saying the Falco was a couple of parts away from being one of the best looking bikes made.
The beauty of the Falco is it is a RSV that Aprilia just barely hobbled to protect the front line model. Seems to me that every one focuses on curing those things, Ex that extremist being the only person I know of to go well beyond that. If I had a RSV, almost did after placing my first e bay bid a little while ago on a 2000 one which just looked stunning compared to the younger ones, the only thing I would do is give it dual cans, of course talking last rsv.

Is it really feasible to fit a turbo to this type of engine,modern high performance v twin? If feasible how fast will it kill the engine? Or would you have to mod internals for a lot of low mass star treck parts to go forced induction at all?
