1984 Interceptor, I know it well. I had the same bike 20 years ago. I left the helmet lock undone and some bastard stole my seat (obviously they knew the connection).
Bought another seat at the Costa Mesa Motorcycle swapmeet (probably my old seat) and wasn't a week later that the bike disappeared. Those days of no money or no garage. Since then, I kept the new old bike in the complex laundry room. Nobody said anything.
I also like your pic of Barro's bike. He was the coolest guy at Seca. My girlfriend loved him as they're both Brazilian.

Close, its an 85. Didnt know why I bought the damn thing at first but now that I have fixed and cleaned it up a little its turning out to be a lot of fun. And at $52 a year for full coverage ins cheap too.
Just shut the f*** up and ride the thing.

That, my friend, was a $20 MILLION dollar mistake. It tends to destroy careers. Definitely a very sweet pic....

I am in the market for either an 05-08 Factory (Black Factory w Blue Oz, or Gold on Gold) or, possibly a 10 RSV4.

I like the Barros bike, no front rotors.... Makes him go extra fast. Wonder what the story is there.
Pit wheels. They have wheels and tires that they put on the bike for rolling around in the pits. Plus the wheels can be used as spares if needed.Originally Posted by CalPolyMille

Marko,
Of course the VFR is an 85. Mine was an '84. The only difference: '84 doesn't say "500" on the seat. '86 is same as '85 except rim edges aren't polished (all black). 20 years (fu%k 20 years, geez) I guess I forgot a bit. I remember grinding pegs with a passenger. The bike though was so narrow that it was easier to get rad on then pig i4s were.
Your's is really clean. I remember pipes were always a challenge (no one made them). The stockers look good too.

Its hard to believe that the 500 was state of the art 20 years ago. Going from it to my RSVR is shocking.![]()
