Question Another LED indicator issue (Motobitz Indicators & Evoluzione Integrator)

I just installed the front LED indicators from Motobitz (great product) today. I also have the Evoluzione rear integrator kit. Upon installation, the Motobitz indicators did flash but quite slowly and the tail indicators (Evo) blinked alternately - left, right, left, right (and very slowly). If I grabbed the brakes however, the taillights would work correctly (brake light on with the correct side blinking - as designed). Doing a search, I found the following:

However, I'm still not clear if the 10 ohm/10 watt Radio Shack resistor or an auto flasher from a local AutoZone is what I need to make my Motobitz/Evoluzione setup work.

Anyone with this identical setup and the right solution? Any and all you help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance...

I had the same problem with the motobiz signals. I ended up putting Incandescent fron turnsignal with LED rear lights and it works fine. I think it has to do with the resistor. Also make sure you have a flasher unit that will work with no-load. Alhoughther. it did not work with the no-load flasher either. I am sure if you play with different resistors it will work.

    Thanks crea...

I will try some Radio Shack resistors as recommended on the link in my original post - 10ohm/10 watt resistors...

Hope it works - damn Italian electronics... haha!!

    Rick T,

You'll find the resistor is just the ticket. 8 ohm/10w is all that's necessary, but Radio Shack only had the 10ohm/10w when I purchased them. I have Shock Racing front LED's, which are designed for 23w systems, but not enough load to operated even an electronic flasher unit. One resistor each side, and voila. Do a search and you'll see the results. I got the idea from Stoneflyllama.

To make the Motobitz front indicators work WITH the Evo Tail Integrator you will need the following:

    1. Radio Shack p/n is 271-120. 8ohm/20W resistor.
    2. Remove resistors that came with the Motobitz indicators.
    3. Wire Radio Shack resistor (one per indicator) in PARALLEL.
    4. Soder and heat shrink
    5. VOILA!!
    6. Note: I sodered a loose (unconnected) yellow/green wire in the rear taillight to the wires connected to the bottom of the left/rear bulb. Without doing this, the system would not work properly.

I can take pics later on to illustrate.

Anyhow, thanks guys... Your feedback was what I needed to make it work.
