    Haha, I see... :p I guess I'll order a 5 µm filter then. Thanks!

I now noticed there was someone asking for a Water trap a few posts earlier on this same page. That filter is 40 micron so I think I'll be fine with that kind of filter as well if I can't get the 5.

Personnally I do not use the filter and do not have sputtering issue. Some use it some dont... If you use it, you'll have to clean it after each tank...

Most have to empty it every day some twice a day depending on how much they ride.

Generally speaking, I have to empty mine (depending on the weather) about every tank to a tank and a half.

The little tiny filter I clean at the same time. I have a couple of extra filter, an extra bowl and "O" rings so I can be up and running in a matter of seconds and clean the dirty parts at my leisure.

yea emptying it varies pretty much according to weather and oil type I would say. On my side, I found it a pain to change the filter, emptying is not a pain. But it's really personnal. I even added a ball valve near belly pan to make the emptying process quicker. I can also leave the valve open during the afternoon and crank the engine it a little bit so pressure removes everything remaining in the tank. Then turning valve off and go for a wonderfull ride.

I empty mine (just use the valve at the bottom) once or twice a week. I am using a old oil bottle to see how much I fill up in a month. Mine has a bit of sputter I will see what happens when I run without water trap

Good to hear that. I will try to buy the minifilters from Norgren. How do you clean the filter and how long does it take to dry and be used again?

Yup! I use Paint Thinner and then a bit of air blast from the inside to out. They can also dry out over night.

If you have more then 1 of the filters, the cleaned one will be ready by the time you need to replace the one on the bike.

Try this site they stock almost everything and they have the best prices in Italy and probably Europe and more for example crankshaft RMS for ditech piaggio is 46euros and the same at sip scootershop is 95euros 2for1 hehehe
ive bought from them the polini kit for 185euros where the other sites sell it for at least 50euros more also gears malossi the rms crank an ntn bearings and they are always cheaper by minimum 15%and up.....
    http://www.ricambimoto2000.it/

Here is the stator as i said cheaper 54.7 vs 47.5

p.s the only problem is that they will probably respond you in italian because their english knowledge is quite low.......

    ..........the stator its genuine piaggio

I finally bought the Water trap and I'll install it maybe tomorrow. Is there any way (or even need) to make the drain (at the bottom of the bowl) sealed? I mean if I sealed it so it wouldn't let any air past it and then I would just empty the bowl always by taking it off. My draining unit seems not to be air-tight so I guess it should be sealed some way.

Sorry for my English, hope you understood what I was trying to say...

None of the drains on the water traps are air tight. You either have to remove it and turn it over so the PSI in the container helps to keep it sealed or remove the drain, drill and tap the hole and install a plug/bolt with teflon tape to seal the threads.
