So basically the PureJet`s are for the european marked only and Morini`s for the rest of the world!

It was really pretty easy. Just needed an allen wrench and a phillips head screwdriver. The mudflap is held onto the License plate holder by allen head screws (also known as hex screws), just unscrew those. The license plate holder is much smaller, but as 50cc engined bikes in Colorado don't require licensing, just a registration sticker (that I peeled off and put in a different location) I took that off as well. I took the light fixture apart from the plate holder and reattached it to the underseat. Since I removed all the reflectors with the plate holder, I added a strip of red reflector tape to the plate light.

As for what the Morini engine means, hopefully existing performance upgrades can be used.

I was inspired to do a little artwork. I'm gonna use it to test out different custom paint jobs on it.

That's not even close how it went down.

I was discussing the new SR-50 with the dealer (Adam, the owner of Sportique Scooters), and we were talking about how they came with the new Purejet engine, among other features. They had just received the bikes the day before, and his mechanics were still working on de-restricting the orange one that they had. At that point, I don't even think that anyone on this forum was aware that the not all the Factory Rs were gonna get the Purejet engine. At least I don't think it hadn't been discussed, I had been lurking here for quite a while, while I waited for the '05s to arrive (since February).

He didn't "sell" me Purejet, but we both assumed that it would be one. Besides, is there something wrong with the morini?

Nothing wrong with the morini, cause i have one, as long as you get the full power ECU unlike me who got the 45mph ECU

These Ditech..purejet motors get more confusing every day..no wonder u guys get frustrated with em..
I'm sure jo bloggs walking in off the street would be quite happy with whatever he got, as long as he stayed away from this forum

Very true, i do sometimes think that sticking your head in the sand with these things might go a long way. However this would be of course if you were running the correct oil in it. You do this one thing, you will go a long way towards happy and pain free scooting. When it comes to performance parts.... well you just opening up a whole new world im not willing to enter.

As jimscoot will testify, that has been my strategy from the start. The bike goes so well stock that I have never wanted to mess around with it too much in fear of ruining it's good points! My modifications have been designed to either improve or fine tune what is already there.

But I can say that my bike is now going faster than it ever has before and I put it down to the Malossi belt I got from jimscoot. (Thanks mate!) So I highly recommend changing to one when the stock belt wears down.
