this picture didn't turn out that good, but you can see what the problem is with the subframe. if you line up the cowl latch mechanism - and then further back - the rear most tail light fastener, with the center line of the tire, you can see how much this subframe got tweaked.
i tried to mess with it to get it squared up myself, but i can't do it. it's too far out of square.

as a side note, i printed out the rectum fire rewire procedure that bikepaintr and GR initiated. cplus generously put it on his website - which by the way has a great printer friendly version, and i followed it. it's really easy when the subframe is off of the bike.
anyways, i just wanted to thank you guys for all of the info on that subject.

one of the guys on the forum has a friend that builds race car chassis'. i'l be visiting him today to get this thing straightened out.
then, it's back together and ride finally.i'll have my bike as good looking as your's, casey
