hey mate, i used caustic soda earlier this week!
works a treat! really gets that built up shit out!
i left it over night and the next day lots of carbon just fell outa the pipe!
one caution would be, dont let it touch the outside of you end can.... it will damage it!
its safe to use through the entire exhaust btw
daz
where do you get it from?
Mods:
Mitaka Barrel, CMP panel/Airbox Mods, 34mm polished carb, Arrow exhaust system, V-Force 3. 16/40 Renthal sprockets, Gold Iris Chain. Dark Bubble Double Screen. BT090's
i got it from Boots lol....
about £2.55

so you took out the entire system blocked up one end, and poured it in... letting it rest over night? that how you did it... So you can't clean the outside of your end can with it?

i took the end can off the expansion chamber and did em both seperatly.... the end can needed doing twice.
left it over night, and then the next day poored hot water down chamber and can to clear it out!
lol alot more carbon came out then i expected! fantastic stuff!
yeah it will burn the outside of the end can and leave marks....

what does it feel like riding a newly soda'd bike?
Today when people talk of "living through hell", it usually means that their appeal against unfair dismissal has been delayed, or the builders next door have been very noisy for several weeks. For the millions of soldiers in the trenches of the First World War, their experiences of Hell on Earth were beyond anything those of us born into Britain's most blessed generation can possibly imagine.

Take your end can off 1st. Dont put caustic soda into your end can, only your pipe and expansion chamber.
Also, be careful, after adding the water to the soda the mixture gets hot. Dont get burnt!
