    Boots

Going to be getting new boots in a few weeks and love the Sidi Vertigos. Anyone here have any experience with the Sidi brand?

Try 'em on and make sure they fit over (or under, whichever you prefer) your leathers and still fasten up OK. And don't try to walk too far in 'em. Otherwise, superb booties.

I have 5 different pairs of Sidi boots....one set has over 100K miles on them. They tend to run small in the calf area in my experience. Motonation (distributor) has gone beyond the call of duty twice for me.

I've had a pair of Sidi "on-roads" since 1997. I'll be replacing them soon with another pair of Sidi boots. Good quality, comfortable, and good price/value.

    Thumbs Up!

Or big toes, perhaps? Going on four years with Sidi Vertebras, no complaints whatsoever. An occasional squeak now and then from the articulated plates is quelled by a spritz of silicon spray.

Sidi's bicycle shoes are also superb and convinced me to try their motorcycle boots. Glad I did!

I have some Vertebra 2s that are quite nice. I use silicone grease instead of spray to stop the squeaks. My new Vertigo Corsas are really nice. The instep adjustment is easy and useful. The ankle adjusts easily, too. I met a guy who was out of comission for six months due to the very injury the heel pads were designed for. I wore them all day at work once just to see how comfy they were - most impressive. Highly recommended.

    Absolutely awesome.

I've ridden with Sidi from one end of New Zealand to the other through some goddamn butt ugly weather with torrential rain thrown in for the measure.3 years later & they are still water tight & the tootsies haven't gotten wet yet!Touch of beeswax or leather conditioner everynow & then, bulisimo. kev.

    Sidi Daisy Roots.

Best bike boot I've come across in 41yrs of riding.............Had loads of other brands over the years but for me these are the most comfortable.
(Used them the last ten years)......Best advice I can give would be to try lots of different brands in the same shop/outlet, once you try them on you will soon sus the quality from the crap...............Sidi exude quality......

If they don't fit try Oxtars. They're just as good but fit wider feet.

I've heard the sidi's are not for the fat mans foot, is this true?

I tried on an alpinestar smx plus and it fit me well, can anyone compare the fit for different brands of boots?

There really isn't anywhere I could go locally and try on different boots, most places stock cheap ones if any and the places that don't stock make you buy up front and pay huge restocking if they don't fit! I guess the dealers don't care if the riders stay around. This is true for most riding gear that would be considered mid to high end, nobody stocks it!

I just got a pair of Gaerne Shockwave boots and I am very impressed with them. Excellent fit, good protection, and very comfortable. I wear a 11C/D shoe and the 46 euro fit me perfectly, so they fit true to size.

Only $177.00 through my buddy Rusty Beck. Tell him Jet sentcha'.

    Gaerne Shockwave

BTW- He never charges a restocking fee either!

I've got a pair of the Sidi Vertebra Air. Absolutley love 'em. They're comfortable on & off the bike. Can't go wrong with Sidi.

I've got both the Alpinestars SMX goretex boots and the Sidi Vertigo Corsas. They are both excellent boots. The Alpinestars are definately wider. The Vertigo Corsas fit me very well, the Alpinestars are a little wide for me.
