    AF1Racing Dyno Videos

We had a customer shoot a short video of the 999r on the dyno and send it to us...which got me thinking that it would be pretty cool to shoot a lot more Aprilia dyno videos.

Anyway, here is the 999r, would you guys like to see more like this or is this principally of interest to me???

I wanna hear an RS50 w/big bore kit spun up to 17k or so.

Come on, You know Jon's just dying to film that!

I apologize for the poor quality, the next time Dan brings the camera up we are hoping to set it up on a proper tri-pod and get a better angle for filming...we want to show how a full test is done which will be about a 10 minute video. We have a nice Tuono Racing in here right now for tuning which could be the next star in the series!

We had a professional video company do a bunch of dyno filming but they never brought back the tapes???? They had a cool gizmo that allowed for a screeen shot of the dyno computer to be integrated into the main video...it was awesome, but I never got my copy!

That was a tease. I wanted to hear a full pull from 3K to red line.

If you are going to start filming, you better get Ed a milk crate to stand on.

    hey now.....j/k

    video sucks....

that video doesnt show what we really do or did to that bike......all micah did was roll on to the next loaded step....with no load.....we were both blown away by how fast it accelerates.

we really never use sweep tests (roll-ons with or w/o load)......steady-state step tests are far more accurate, and useful for tuning.....and the video will look and sound cooler.......we hold it wide-open and the eddy-brake holds it at the exact RPM we set it to. We then step it up every 500 or 1000 RPM increments.

Nope, no video of the turbo hog....but there will be more turbo bikes on the dyno this year...a cool shot is the head-turbo piping during a high rpm heavy load step...it glows red hot from the turbine exit to the head spigots....so cool!
