The colin mods seem to be the way to go for reliable power, though the mototek 316cc kit still sounds cooler- maybe a little of both?

Or perhaps the Stan Stephens 300cc upgrade? I'm planning to do that this winter. Is there anyone in Apriliaforum who did the same upgrade? (I may have a few questions already..)

I have been down the 300 route and was not impressed. Yes there is power there, mine made 69. However the bike works best as a 250. If you look to the bruntigthorpe figures one of the guys RS300 was slower than his RGV250.

New heads will be ready to ship very soon..........bolt on hp
New valves ready soon and bolt on another blob of hp sauce.

That should give a very good bike just like that (mid 60's + increase reliabilty) but also a good platform to launch into porting and gasket changes if you desire. To be honest I find 70+bhp very optimistic (especially on unleaded) however ignoring power figures it still gives a strong and improved motor. Horses for courses!

My bike is being customised right now with heads/valves and porting. Also a few other nifty idea's that I won't discuss yet. Results in the next couple of months and more planned for next year.

    Cool.
How much would you say the heads/valves and porting will cost?
    Who's selling these customized items?

Roughly the same as the 300 kit. http://www.davecooperracing.com if you included porting.

I'll have more details soon. They are in their final week getting coated ready for sale.
