    Blown Futura

How hard would it be to insert a variable vane turbo charger at the crossover of the h-pipe, plumb some intake tubing and boost our babies?

Really I'd prefer supercharging, but with the variable vane turbos, lag is about nil and I think it'd be a lot easier.

I've been wanting to ask this for awhile...

The setup would likely fit a Mille as well.

    Well, Dan...

It would probly be about 17% to 43% more difficult than you can imagine at this point.

Let us know how it works out!

I'm NO expert on turbo's. But I met the Aerocharger guy's a few years back. Great guy's. You should probably hunt them down. I'll bet they'd be willing to work with you. If not have a solution. They have lot's of solutions already for all sorts of v-twins.

I discussed a turbo kit for my Buell S1 lightening. They would have bumped it from the claimed 91 bhp to the neighborhood of 150 bhp!!!:-) And it was a bolt on kit. If they can fit one to an S1, I don't see why they couldn't fit one to an RST.

The kit was something like $4500.00. Let us know.

    Thumbs up

I saw an article in either Motorcyclist or Cycle World (or was is Sport Rider ?) a few years back about a blown Futura. They said it was the ultimate sleeper. The chassis should be able to handle the extra power, but a suspension upgrade would definitely be in order. Please keep us posted.

Yeah man, you go first, we will be right behind you

Last time I heard that, we convinced the neighbor kid to jump off the roof - we would be right behind him. He broke his leg and we drank his soda while his mom came to get him.
