Another PCIII question...

I just won a PCIII USB in a raffle, and I'm going to be receiving the SBK-rep exhaust system this week to be put on the Mille, and was wondering if it's really worth it to get the power commander on top of the pipes and new chip, since I don't plan to do extensive engine mods, or should I still get the power commander.

I looked through the forums, there were an equal number of good and bad things said about the power commanders for the bikes. I understand installing the PC involves taking the bike to get dynoed to get a custom map, which some of the posts said did nothing, others said it was great.

Should I bother installing the PC on top of the chip/pipe or ask if I could recieve some woodcraft rearsets in place of the computer?

Nothing is better than a custom map, except for an Evoluzione chip AND a custom map.

Also, I don't recall anyone saying that a PCIII does nothing. If they did, they didn't know what they're doing.

It's not worth it. Keep it in the box and I'll be down in the next day or two to take it off your hands so you don't have to worry about it.
